Specific requirements
Having a specific dietary requirement can leave you feeling that eating out is defined by what you can’t eat rather than by what you can. We don’t think that’s fair – and at our Blackpool restaurant it no longer needs to be the case.
Eating at Kwizeen is easy, no matter what your specific dietary requirement. The golden rule is if you’re unsure of the ingredients in any dish then just ask. Tony will always be able to provide the details.
What’s more, if you don’t feel your needs are catered for by the regularly changing menu then call us ahead of your visit (at least 24 hours please!) We’ll be able to create something especially for you – and it will be just as spectacular as anything on the regular menu.
Vegetarian
There’s always a vegetarian option on the menu – but do contact us at least 24 hours ahead of your visit if you’d like us to design something to suit your specific requirements.
Pregnancy
No nuts, no soft cheeses, no pate. When it comes to eating out pregnancy can feel like a nine-month sentence rather than a life-changing experience. We aim to make life just that little bit easier. Just ask us and we’ll guide you through the menu so you can choose with confidence. Or you can call us in advance and we’ll create something especially for you.
Coeliacs & dairy-free
There can’t be many restaurants in Blackpool that produce their own gluten-free bread. We do – and it’s delicious. Many of our sauces are also gluten or lactose free. Just ask or call in advance.
Visual impairment
Our menus are in a large print. Braille menus are available on request.
Physical impairment
Please be aware that there are three small steps to negotiate in order to enter Kwizeen. The rest of the restaurant is all on a single level - including the toilets
Kwizeen
Blackpool restaurants don’t stand on ceremony – and neither do we - but then most Blackpool restaurants aren’t Kwizeen. There are just a couple of things we would ask our visitors to bear in mind.
Dress code
We are informal. Smart casual is fine, but we’d appreciate it if you could avoid wearing shorts, baseball caps, tracksuits and the like. We’d make a bit of an effort if we came to your house…
Mobile phones
No mobiles in the dining area, please! By all means keep your mobile on if absolutely necessary, but we’d appreciate it if you could set it to vibrate and take any calls outside, or in our foyer away from other diners. If keeping your mobile on is not absolutely necessary please switch it off. We promise you’ll enjoy your meal more without the Nokia tune accompaniment – and so will everyone else.
Children
Children are welcome at Kwizeen. It is a legal requirement, though, that they must have finished dining on licensed premises by 9.00pm so please bear that in mind when booking.
All children remain the responsibility of their parents throughout their visit to Kwizeen and we would ask all parents to take that responsibility seriously. We’re passionate about opening up a whole new world of taste for our younger visitors, but there are hot plates, glasses and people making their way through the restaurant at all times so do please keep them seated. Thank y ou.
